6/18/2023 0 Comments Torchlight 2 fame levelsAs for a new character, at which difficulty level would 1 hit kills not be an issue, yet the game still challenging enough? Perhaps better yet, does anyone know what changing the difficulty actually does in terms of scaling (ie: is a simple multiplication factor applied to all monsters damage?)įor the sake of the above example, defense stats: The char also has max healing bot for his level, which is 12). I am thinking about making a new char altogether as I do not see this build as viable anymore for me. My problem is that I do not want to play where I can die from 1 hit, especially with that much defense, yet I cannot set any lower as the game is already easy enough in terms of killing. He just walks from room to room basically. I would change to normal, but his minions clearing mobs so fast, they basically die within 1-3 seconds of appearing on the screen. He is a summoner with many of the +X% to minion damage. Also regular mobs are hitting him pretty hard. Update: i have now included two of my related mods into this one. I wish Runic would fix this but I'm not getting my hopes up.I made an an engineer with 2:1 VIT to STR, max bulwark and aegis shield, I find that at level 60 he is dying from 1 hit champions, boss attacks a little too often. level and fame mod (v.4) A Workshop Item for Torchlight II By: Krissgjeng This mod raises your max level to 500 and fame to 200, from the games default level 100 and fame 33. Fame levels So on it says I only get 132 skills total but there are 34 levels of fame and 100 levels. I'm still sad to know that the defensive mechanics are ass and that I need to stack a hard to find (at least for new players) stat to even stand a chance at elite. I was running around in circles when fighting bosses, letting my minions do the damage and take the damage - pretty pathetic. The only thing that made me finish the game was Shadow Burst (because pots wouldn't recover in time), Wolf Shade and the Summon Archers spell. Then I tried to stack life, but it made no practical difference. I tried to stack armour, but then learned that it is a broken stat. Torchlight II Edit Status Wishlist Seattle-based developer Runic Games sequel to the action-RPG. I was seriously losing 1/3 of my life in a single hit and it made the game nearly unplayable. Torchlight 2 Cheats, Codes, Cheat Codes, Walkthrough, Gui. I can safely say that if I didn't take up Shadow Burst, I would not have been able to finish the game. Didn't want to use mods or build guides for my 1st playthrough so I ended up taking Eviscerate (seemed like a good AoE) and Shadow Burst. Can't really say I had a good time because I was getting mauled by every single mob - even the small ones. I beat the game for the first time yesterday with a dual-claw Berserker on Veteran. Is it there ever a good reason for putting a normal (fire/ice/etc) gem on a weapon? I noticed I tend to just use them to buff up my armor because the special gems tend to give cooler effects on the weapons and I only have so many weapon slots.Whats the rule of thumb for choosing between armor degraded per hit vs raw damage?. Best way to spend gold? Do I gamble or burn it on enchants when I come across a good one in the field? (I'm asking from the point of view of a regular playthrough through levels 1-50 because I don't like leveling after that).I have some questions of my own though, so I guess I'll hijack the thread: Transmuting 3 of them gives you a new one that might have more useful modifiers. Finally, skill respecs are free until level 10 so take advantage of that to explore a lot. This is useful so you can mouse over buffs and things like that but also means you need to click again to change targets.ĭon't sell your extra gems. Additionally, if there is a skill that you only want to use in the early levels you can periodically remove and relearn it so that its always among the last 3 skill points you spent. Once you click on a monster, as long as you keep the mouse down you will keep attacking the same target. Useful if there is a big monster/stone pillar thats in front of where you want to move. You can use the tilde key to move around without attacking. Its still easy enough that you don't need to worry about crafting perfect builds. Additionally, if there is a skill that you only want to use in the early levels you can periodically remove and relearn it so that its always among the last 3 skill points you spent. You can respect away the last 3 skill points you spent and this includes the skill you start the game with at level 1.
